If your team was in any conference other than the SEC what would you choose?

I’m gonna go with the big12. You’ve got a few has beens, some scrappy teams and mostly fun road trips. It’s a good league for hoops and baseball too.
Austin
Norman
Fort Worth
Stillwater
Morgantown
Lubbock
These would all be fun trips to make.

BIg 12 easily. Maybe I would choose the Big 10 before their awful leadership showed this past year. Though it’d be good for my school in football, ACC schools are too smart and to good at basketball for my school to really feel at place. And the Pac-12 seems to be heading a direction where sports aren’t a priority.

Big 12 easy due to proximity

Probably ACC based on Geography and I feel our demographics are starting to mix in with those schools. Clemson vs UGA would be an awesome rivalry. I like college hoops and I feel their conference is fanatical about it. Baseball is solid too.

ACC
Geographically it fits and it would make two rivals conference games (GTU and Clemson).

Not the B12
Great: Austin
Average: Norman, Fort Worth
Below average: Lawrence, Stillwater, Lubbock, Manhattan, Ames
Morgantown is an unknown.
I would say B10.
Weather would suck, but the cities are awesome.

None. If I wasn't a fan of a team in the SEC I most likely wouldn't be here and I'd be missing out on threads like this one.

Morgantown seems like a really cool place. But I also don't know if it would be the kind of place for older folk to enjoy

Big 10 due to Geography.
Also Madison is one of my favorite college towns anywhere

A schedule of 4-5 of the core SEC teams we've played for 100 years (Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, State, Ole Miss) plus 2-3 regional games that we play 3-4 times every 10 years (Clemson, FSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, etc) plus 2-3 National Games (Notre Dame, USC, Washington, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oklahoma, etc) play 1-2 weaklings.
Would be awesome

Maybe then, we could compete for Championships....

I'd rather BAMA go independent, but if I'm made to choose I'm going ACC #1, and Big 12 #2.
The geography works with the ACC. We'd have instant rivalries with GT, Clemson, and FSU if they were to ever get going again.
Big 12 would be interesting because of yearly games with Texas and OU. Outside of those two programs, I really wouldn't be all that interested in playing anyone from that conference. I'd be more interested in playing UNC, Virgina Tech, Miami, etc than playing the remaining programs from the Big 12. That's why the ACC gets the nod from me.
