This is a good hire, West Virginia had the number one pass defense in the big 12 apparently.

I don't know anything about the guy, but if you guys say its a strong hire, that's good enough for me

Analyst. He's confirmed in Athens at this point. Dunno if we've confirmed that he has an official role, but safe bet.

I've got more coming on this later from our WVU site but Jahmile Addae had a similar situation with the Mountaineers last year that he inherits at Georgia (replacing a lot of starters). Very little experience at cornerback. He called the coverages and coordinated the pass defense while coaching that position and WVU was No. 1 nationally in passing yards surrendered per game and No. 10 nationally in yards surrendered per pass attempt.

They surrendered the fewest passing yards per game in the country. It's a very good thing.

Surrendered is accurate, but that ranking is inverse off the number, like a golf score.
