I dont see how. He accepted the job and then it was blocked by the saints. How is that anything like Tennessee

LSU broke Ted
They are also interested in him for the DC position

The weird thing is O immediately got who he wanted at OC but keeps striking out at DC

Ohhh, I don’t know. 8th choice, UT fans blocking Schiano.
You’re right...no similarities at all.

So nothing like that. Got it

If you say so.
I did exaggerate that 8th choice bit. But 0 is certainly making his way down tList.

And the UT fans blocking schiano part. Other than that you nailed it though

Pending NCAA investigation and sanctions.
Ed Orgeron's tenure may be tenuous, so no one willing to hitch their wagon to him.
Stories of a fractured lockerroom and racial tension between Orgeron and players.

And like I said, very odd- going from a D Line coach in the NFL, to a DC at a major program, that's a promotion. Higher pay, more control of the product on the field. And moving/acclimating the family would be a non-issue, it's about an hour up the road. If he wants, he could just stay where he is for now.
It makes no sense unless the Saints are about to promote him themselves; do you really expect loyalty and extra effort from a guy you just screwed over?

99% of this board had no idea who Ryan Nielsen was until yesterday.
