He needs to get to work doing whatever director of recruiting does

KN suggested that this has been an assumption for a few weeks now and he’s asked some recruits about him.

I think this is also a hire where a lot of people thought Harsin might bring someone with local connections. But typically there’s a team of people that work on recruiting so it didn’t necessarily need to be the director

I say again, of all the assistants under Saban over the years who got promoted, there is one he truly got upset with over poaching another assistant. When Dabo went to Clemson he hired away the director of recruiting from Alabama. That move in and of it self was probably the main spark that led to their upward trajectory.

Long, long before a "great recruiting coach" starts talking to a kid, the recruiting staff should have an entire dossier on him well beyond his exploits on any sports field.
