Ohio State easily had the softest schedule of any team to ever make the playoff. Not only did they play 6 games, but before Clemson the toughest team they played was Northwestern. Although they did handle everyone they played by double digits and waxed Clemson.

Alabama cruised through a tough SEC schedule and cake walked to an easy win over Notre Dame in the playoff semis. Florida made the SEC title game somewhat interesting and the defense struggled against Ole Miss, but Bama basically raped everyone.

Ohio State actually matches up okay with Bama. Fields is the kind of dual threat QB that has historically given them fits, and they have way better athletes than Notre Dame. On defense, Ohio State rarely sees anything close to the caliber of athletes that Bama has. They’ll need the defense to be as good as they were against Clemson to give them a chance.

TLDR: This will probably be a good game

Bama will have to get to Fields early and often which means shutting down Sermon.

If that happens, Bama walks away with it.

I don't see either defense getting many stops.

Ohio State will run roughshod over the Bama defense.

Then they will surprise everyone outside of Columbus by shutting down the Bama offense.

Final Score

OSU 38 Bama 3

Easy pick. Ohio State is better at:
- QB
- RB
- WR
- TE
- DL
- LB
- CB
- S

Ohio State: 48
A1abana: 31

Willis it’s okay to be wrong sometimes and you’ve been wrong a lot. Honestly this just hasn’t been your year. Just look forward to next season and write this one off. I think it will help you sleep better and you’ll stop waking up in the middle of the night thinking about Bama.

Ohio State is simply the better team.

They beat Trevor - A1abana can only dream of doing that.

Ah. Transitive property.

Ohio State 49
Clemson 28

Clemson 34
Notre Dame 10

Neither of those scores means shite in the upcoming game nor does anything Ole Miss and Indiana did this season.

I think if both teams play to their potential it could be a phenomenal game.

In years past Saban has been excellent in identifying something he needs to take away from his opponent. This game will be shutting down Sermon. If successful with that then he would put pressure on Fields because I dont think he can carry the team by himself.

Bama on the other hand is vulnerable to OSU deep shots. If that happens he will have to back up his safeties and then Sermon will get loose.

Depends on what Ohio St team shows up, they are hit and miss this year.

If the team that played Northwestern and Indiana shows up, Bama will destroy them.

If the team that played Clemson shows up, it will be an all out war.

It should be a classic game for the ages . Two powerhouses going at it. Two teams who have fans nation wide . North vs South. A Legendary Coach vs a new coach. Both at one time was a coaching assistant at Ohio State. Both have the talent to match up against each other. If Ohio State plays against Alabama like they did Clemson then they have a chance to bet Bama. ESPN is going to love it because it will be ratings gold for them. Not enough credit goes to Northwestern for having one of the Best Defenses this year. Indiana doesn't lose that game with Penix in.
Cincinnati lost to Georgia because of bad clock management at the end of the game. Or Cincy wins it. 2019 Cincy lost to Ohio State 42-0! Bowl match ups are fun because you never know who will win. Personally, Im for the Buckeyes. But I will say this, if Smith doesn't win the Heisman that is criminal! The guy has been ballin all year long! He is definately the best player in college football!

Not really. Ohio State still had 600+ yards and 35 points against Indiana, and 500+ yards against Northwestern (albeit only 22 points). Indiana went into the game blitzing more than any other team in the country, and Northwestern was solely focused on taking away the passing game (also Olave was out). Fields really only made a few bad throws against IU, but played well overall. He actually had a bad game against Northwestern.

The point is, Ohio State's offense will be fine, even if Fields has a subpar game. Good enough to win? Idk, but certainly good enough to get 500+ yards of offense no matter what.

Ohio State's defense is much more inconsistent and concerning, but it's not like they were going to hold Bama to less than 35 points anyways. It'll be a shootout, and the result will probably come down to who executed better in the red zone. Ain't nobody preventing the other from marching down the field into the red zone on nearly every possession though.
