What happened? When I was young no one tolerated a quitter. It was one of the worst things you could do.


They aren't really quitters because many of them never really wanted to play college football. They want to play in the NFL and once that dream is accomplished they may never step on campus again. They aren't fans. They don't think like fans. The goal was the NFL and opting out is the smart thing to do over playing in a meaningless bowl game.

Im of the old school way of thinking that its quitting on their team and I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT.

I mean its not like it has happened to us much. Gus didnt do squat preparing our guys for the NFL. Only one of our guys I remember doing it was Carlton Davis.

But you have a VERY valid point. You may have just helped me see their side.
