I would classify them more like "average" instead of terrible since, in a non-COVID year they would be 7-5 or 6-6.

That's probably because even in their worst year in decades, their win against UF in The Swamp was the most memorable and talked about college game of the year (and the best win in the SEC this year considering they beat the SEC East Champ on the road on Senior night). If LSU can pull one out against Ole Miss, they will finish in aTm's usual home in the West (4th place) even though it's LSU's worst year in two decades.
