I know we have these threads every week, but I really hate the trick plays. It seems like we have one get blown up every week.

It may be a little better if we didn't run the same Burks double pass every single time.

There's 2 picks on that play and it's been run about 4 times.

The whole thing has just been a shite show today and the last couple of weeks.

It's going to take a major major talent influx to offset it.

It will be year four or five before we are truly a challenger in the SEC.

Yep. This is not a one year rebuild. The trick plays don't work worth a darn but nothing was today. We were massively over matched in that game.

Honestly I was more upset that they didn’t get Hornsby reps at the end over doing something crazy like that on what they thought was their last drive.

Yep. When KJ went down I thought we would get to see a quarter of him. He needs the snaps. I don't understand risking getting Franks more banged up when we need him fresh for the one game he has left with us.

Dude nobody knows anything... But you and I had a friendly back and forth last week on mostly this subject.

Then today you wrote what you did above about the timeline needed.

Here is the way that I see it knowing Sam. He is big on trench warfare and will in time, get us where we need to be on the lines, especially the Oline.

He sees the need for speed and strength, our recruiting is on pace to be as good as it has been anytime in the last several years.
Yep, looked it up.

Present time 19th, 8th SEC
2020 30th, 11th SEC
2019 23rd, 10th SEC
2018 45th, 14th SEC
2017 27th, 10th SEC
2016 23rd, 9th SEC
2015 22nd, 11th SEC
2014 29th 11th SEC
2013 23rd, 9th SEC
2012 27th 10th SEC
2011 21st, 9th SEC
2010 41st, 10th SEC
2009 20th, 9th SEC
2008 25th, 6th SEC
2007, 36th, 10th SEC

Just for some perspective. If Sam (Who has show can coach fairly well) can continue at least mid pack of the SEC and stay in the 15-22 ranked classes along with the development... We should have as good as a season as Nutt ever had, BP had, and Bert would have had with better coaching and development.

I believe he can, will do at least that given the timeframe of 4 years total. 3 more seasons. Thoughts?

I'm in the I will believe it when I see it type.

After 30 years, it is time to show some results or quit pretending to a big time football school.

As the old saying goes here, wait til next year!

I can't see him winning nine or more games here. I don't see him staying here five years or longer because he is 60 plus with possible future health issues. Most head coaches are done when they turn 60.

He will elevate Arkansas to a bowl team each year, retire and we will find out if we will screw up the next hire or not.
