Perhaps coaching is not his calling. The guy you are nasty to today may be the guy you are wanting to hire you three years from now. Coaching is a big fraternity, they know or at least know of each other.

That's spot on. Collins is Tech's version of Butch Jones. Heard someone remind me that Collins probably had the Tech guys trying to bait Pickens into a person foul call.

I watched that game. By the start of the 4th qtr, GT had like 12 penalties for well over 100 yards. Mostly of the PF and unsportsmanlike conduct variety. Oh well...your team is a reflection of your coaching...

Been noticing the same. He's like one of those parents that thinks he's going to be the first one ever to successfully raise his kids by being "friends" with them instead of being their parent.

General assholery doesn’t help you keep your job when you are sitting on the fence if you are going to keep a coach. Not saying he will get fired this year but if acted like Richt it sure makes it harder to cut him loose.

To me Collins is all in with every chip of the ATL brand. If that fails.... as he is doing spectacularly ...what does that say about the brand?
