Bammers where would you rate Mac Jones among Saban's QBs (other than Tua?)

Almost unfair to compare the others to a generational talent like TT

4 Wilson (don't laugh, he had much less talent around him)

Dude sucked. Coker is the most underrated QB in the last 20 years. Other than Ridley there was no real talent around him.

People forget McElroy was literally one bad drive to start the 2nd half against LSU from being benched for a freshman AJ.
His performance from Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and 1st half of LSU in 2009 was the worst 3+ game stretch of QB play of the Saban era.

Why other than Tua? I feel like Mac has done as well as Tua. Tua just got Crazy hype because of the way his career began. Not that he was bad, he was obviously great but its not like Tua is just such a clear number 1 that Mac does'nt even belong in the conversation. (assuming thats where you were going with the whole "other than Tua" remark)

I'm gonna have to stop you right there, guy. McCarron never once went into the slump McElroy descended into in the middle of the 2009 season. His play would have cost us the South Carolina game if not for Mark Ingram's heroics. AJ was a far more efficient passer who put up better numbers that McElroy did. You can say McCarron had better talent surrounding him, but to that I say horseshite. In 2010, McElroy was protected by three future first rounders at the OL position, he had two first round running backs lined up behind him, and he had a future first rounder and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee lined up at wide receiver.

I remember. I also remember him playing so bad in the SC game we moved Ingram to wildcat QB and ran the ball every play to win the game.

You are leaving off two important details.
- Greg was much better at hitting the big play
- Greg was a much better runner

It seems to me that my fellow Bama fans spent to much time looking at AJ’s girlfriend to realize that he wasn’t a good QB.

Ehh..Henry won the Heisman. I know you mean receiver but Coker had so many games in which he threw for under 200 yards and just handed off to Henry 25-35 times. And OJ and Stewart were good receivers so there was talent. I mean he got consistently gifted by Clemson with Howard in the NCG. Howard was wide open on every single one of his 6 catches for 200+ yards.
