LINK Auburn blew a 28-7 lead and Georgia made a mircale touchdown on the last play of regulation.

jmho, but I wish they'd change starting possessions at the 25 yard line. Push it back to at least the 35.

I remember watching this game pretty vividly. I was 8 years old.

I like this. I thinks it’s kinda dumb how a defense can shut an offense down and they can still get 3 points out of it 90% of the time. Moving it back would make it more 50/50.

It was my wife's 30th birthday. I had reserved an events room at a local eatery and had friends and family...about 30 people, coming. Her best friend took here to a spa day and was going to meet us at the restaurant where we were to surprise her. 29 of the 30 were there...I was nearly 2 hours late because of that damn game. She never said a word and never has. When I showed up one of her friends said something along the lines of "ooooohhhhh…..youre in trouble" to which my wife replied "No he's not....Georgia and Auburn went to OT". I hit the lottery LOL. It was a great weekend....

We started watching at my uncle's house when it was 28-7 my parents decided to leave and dragged me to Sam's club. I stood in the radio aisle listening to Munson while they shopped. After they were done they came to get me and were laughing that around 10 husbands congregated around with me listening to what we all thought was a failed comeback. After we got in the car I asked Dad to turn the game on the radio, just in time to hear Larry lamenting we could not do it with one second left, just no time and then..... Bobo to Allen

Watched that one on TV.

I remember thinking we should have gone for two after the 2nd OT, because we weren't going to be able to stop UGa. Our already suspect defense was completely exhausted.

This game drives me nuts for lots of obvious reasons.

But there is one major reason that nobody seems to remember about this game. It's one of the all-time boneheaded Leon Lett plays in SEC history.

Before Bobo completed the last second Hail Mary to tie the game and send it to overtime, this is what happened. UGA had the ball with under 20 seconds and no timeouts. A sack would end the game. Auburn rush got to Bobo and sacked him with under 10 seconds. Zero chance all the receivers get back, line up and snap the ball before clock expires.

But when Bobo was sacked, he placed the ball on the ground to speed up the futile process of getting another snap off. The moron AU defensive lineman grabbed the ball (thinking it was a fumble) and took off for the other endzone. The officials HAD to stop the clock when he did that, which gave UGA time to reset and get the last snap off.

watch around the 51:30 mark
