ETA: Unless UF can figure out how to win without relying on Trask's arm. I'm not saying that UF can't run the ball, but Bama's running game is just as good as their passing game, and that's saying something

Bama will win. I don't believe UF has the defense to stop Bama. Bama on the other hand can make a few stops.

Don't get me wrong, Trask is very reliable, but you can scheme to contain the UF Offense if you rely on one player. Of course, contain can mean a variety of different scores, but vs. Bama you might just need 40+.
At the beginning of the year last year, LSU leaned on Burrow. It was good enough to beat Texas and the rest of the first six or so games, but LSU didn't turn the corner until the running game got going. A lot of people don't remember this, but some fans were calling for Clyde to be benched early in the season. Florida needs to be able to do the same, as well as play better defense for me to comfortably say they'll beat Bama

Um...so why did we just put more on Georgia, and 63 on the best pass defense in the SEC(prior to playing us)?
Seems like DC's haven't gotten the message that UF is easy to scheme against. We can put 40 on Bama. UF will have to create turnovers to win though I believe. I doubt either offense is held under 40 in this game. May be the two best offenses in CFB this year.

Yeah Florida is looking better and better each week. Should be a great game. Sucks they lost already though because we could be talking about 2 teams for sure being in the playoffs (and it still could happen should Florida win)

I'm not talking about beating UGA, I am talking Bama and further. I am sure Mullen is going to get the running game going, but if you think that Florida will beat Alabama the way that they're currently constructed... you're in for a rude awakening. You can't beat Alabama at their own game.
Also you're kidding yourself if you actually think Arkansas is the real best pass defense in the SEC. Even though they play well as a unit, they simply don't have the athletes to hang with elite passing attacks. I know that's what the stats say, but LSU's shitty arse secondary has a better chance at holding Florida just based off of the athletes alone

UF is pass heavy, not slugging it out with them in the trenches. Running the ball at Bama is their own game in which you lose, passing the ball and playing tempo is how you beat Saban.

I should have better clarified what I meant. I agree with you that Florida will score a good amount of points, and schematically, you are right that the best way for Florida to score will with a pass heavy plan. However, if Florida can't run the ball at an elite level, then the game will be played at the pace that Alabama wants it to. If Alabama wants to hold the ball for extended periods of time while running the ball, they can. If Alabama wants to score in 4 plays, they can. Florida will have to make sure it doesn't become Alabama's game and pace.

I noticed Arky did better when they played fast and I bet Sark noticed too. Trask is amazing and I suspect well over 100 points that game. Could go either way depending on how the ball bounces and both teams seem to be on the same level. I agree with you.

Defense has to get better to beat Alabama. Otherwise it will be like the LSU-Alabama game last year. Florida can keep it competitive with this offense, but probably can't stop them enough to win.
