I just never understood why he warranted a 1st round selection as a WR, a position he had never played full time in his career...

It was a little strange but he did fairly well for himself before all of his issues came up. Not 1st round worthy but solid production.

If he had played the position before with his measurables, he absolutely would have been worth a 1st round selection. But using a 1st on someone who had never really played the position except for some novelty snaps?

As someone else said on page 1, he would have been ELITE at TE with his size and speed

He played WR at Van Buren High school then I think he transferred to Fort Smith North side as the starter at QB his senior year.

His suffered a shoulder injury that limited his throwing motion in high school. He went to get his shoulder looked at for an operation but the doctor told him it could make his shoulder worse. So he played with a hurt shoulder in college.

I remember Oklahoma was looking at recruiting him at WR. Most schools were recruiting as an athlete that could play WR but Jones wanted to play QB and so he went to Arkansas.
