Cherokee Co just cancelled school for tomorrow over rain and a slight breeze. What is this world coming to???

There's going to be a good bit of power outages and trees down on roads come tomorrow morning. It makes sense.

These weather apps need to get their shite together. Weather bug doesn’t have winds over 20-25mph and over by 8am. Accuweather has wind in the 30s and gusts pushing 60. That’s a big difference

Gwinnett canceled, expect Fulton shortly

The NWS out of Peachtree has Cherokee in the 50-60MPH gust range and expects power outages due to trees in already soaked ground.

Cherokee, Cobb, Floyd, Fulton, Forsyth and Gwinnett schools closed or digital tomorrow. Expect everything North of I-20 and West of I-85 to be remote or canceled

This storm is nasty I assure you. A lot stronger than expected. I’d prepare for your power being out.

Dawson county cancelled in school.
Online decided to cancel as well (which is dumb because it is modules which have to be completed... do it Friday or do it saturday, they are required to be done).

We had some pretty strong winds from 4:45-5:45. I would say the gusts were upwards of 60MPH. It was awesome listening to it with the windows down all night. 5:15-5:45 transformers popping was lighting up the sky. We lost power for 1 minute right at 5:30 and it was back at 5:31. Lot of trees down in the area. Hope everyone is safe, even our resident jacket Jodeux. I know DJS and Wiz are safe in their bunker, so thats a relief.
ETA:150 trees down in Cobb and Cherokee. Man in Cherokee County lost his life when a tree fell on his home in Eastgate mobile park off Bells Ferry Road (two other adults and child unharmed)
1-20WB blocked by trees and bunch of trees down in Windward, in Alpharetta.

Lots of trees down and massive power outages on my way from Madison County to just next to Buford High School. My kids school is just running on a 2hr delay versus everyone around them are closed.
