They're used to horse races where 90 percent lose - but they party down anyway.

One place our group has never been to is Commonwealth/Lexington.
From what I've heard it's nice. Probably as good or on par with the other great road trips we've taken to Auburn, Fayetteville, and Nashville. And the pretty good ones at Gainesville, Knoxville and Starkville.
Only one we didn't enjoy.

I'd rather drink a beer with a UK football fan than a UGA football fan any day

I prefer them over UGA fans.
40 years man. 40 years. And you want to be proclaimed a "blue blood"?

I don’t know why I’m going to respond to this earnestly but here goes.
I find that college football is really only akin to European soccer in that a fan can derive as much enjoyment from rooting for teams which expect no success as rooting for teams for which success is a given. The expectations are key—do you lose to an obviously better team from time to time? Sure, but you don’t sweat that and focus instead on slowly climbing a ladder.
I don’t expect all that many wins from UK football and when we do win, I am as pleased as a UGA fan might be with an objectively more consequential win. That said, UGA expectations are consistently sky high, and they consistently fall short. You’re constantly nervous about a let down instead of excited for each win. As a result, I’d argue that I, a UK football fan, derive considerably more enjoyment from college football than a UGA football fan.

We've packed Commonwealth/Kroger field when we were having losing seasons.
The University allowing for so many superb upgrades to facilities and amenities for football, along with great coaching, recruiting, and recent success has moved us from once being a doormat program in the SEC to a middle of the pack SEC team.
It's difficult to watch us from game to game because we lack real consistency. For you to even start a thread a mention us means we are something, because people don't waste their time and attention on things that don't matter.
You have a Natty with all that 5* talent on the field in your lifetime?

Sure can, I'm one myself.
True fans are the ones of snake-bitten programs.
It's our penance for shooty hoops.
