What he has done relative to last year's Arkansas defense is astonishing. I would love to have the guy coaching the Bama defense this year.

Yes, we can’t thank Mizzou enough for giving us Barry.

And they are still paying him handsomely.

Barry Odom has done a remarkable job so far in stopping... I don't want to call it gimmick offenses, but offenses that maybe aren't traditional(ole miss and miss state).

I'll be interested to see what he does against a more balanced team like A&M in two weeks.

Buyout was tiny compared to Chad

We are paying him hardly anything to go away which allowed us to hire the guy that turned you down. Good stuff!

No.....he has gotten lucky with turnovers....no one needs to ever try and hire him away from Arkansas.

Barry is a good DC. He’s pretty solid X and O wise and his guys play hard for him.

And who knows, perhaps he is the best in the SEC or one of but how much is that even saying? Our defense actually IMPROVED when he relinquished control of the defense to Walters.

Just as this board went completely dumb about MSU after 1 week they are now going completely dumb about Arkansas.

Arky is giving up 418 yards per game, they gave up 450 last year. So slight improvement, yes, but the real difference here is turnovers which has been proven time and time again to be more “luck” than skill.

If teams turn the ball over to them 7 times a game then yeah, they’ll probably be pretty successful. If they don’t then they won’t be because they aren’t very good. This will of course play out over the course of the season and the board will once again look dumb because most are reactionary who can’t see past their nose.

I’m sure they are going to get blasted by A&M this weekend, barring some fluky amount of turnovers once again

You know, just saying things doesn't make them true.

And the answer to the question in the OP is yes. Barry Odom is the best defensive coordinator in the SEC. He's gotta be top 5 in the entire nation, imo.

Yes, but them being true does make them true.

Drink turned you down. He’s far from the only one. Titboss was like your 5th or 6th choice. I’m not sure why this bothers y’all so much. I thought you were happy being .500? Just deal with it friend.
