Does Yurachek have a pair... and the support to say the obvious

Moments like these are when you find out if leadership is really All In, or just part of the system.
No fine should be a big enough threat when the entire football community across the country agrees with you.
Take a fricking stand for your players.

It's just a bad look if he makes a public stink about it. Bad for program morale too. Can't dwell on it too long. We have another game to worry about.

That statement by Hunter is fricking weak.
The message this sends to the players is:
"We expect you to lay it on the line every down for a win, but if certain elements intervene we're just going to roll with it... but great job!"
If this is the extent of the reaction or the response, the administration is naive if they think the players can't see things for what they are.
Not altogether surprising given what's been allowed to transpire in recent years... power brokers in and around the program have no real power.
Unworthy of respect.

Ref screwjob aside, our players and coaches know this game shouldn't have been in doubt. We left a lot of points on the field and gifted Auburn a bunch of points too.
Our players and coaches are going to be focused on getting better, especially on special teams. They aren't going to be reading tweets from the AD and Pittman isn't going to allow them to dwell on the Auburn game or make excuses for themselves, that's just not his style.
The bad new is we have a lot of room for improvement. The good news is we have a lot of room for improvement.

Our players and coaches are going to know the Arkansas athletic leadership expressed token disagreement with what everyone in the national football community sees as a blatant and egregious game-altering call.
Pittman is absolutely going to work on preparing for the next game, but you're naive if you think this won't be in the back of player's minds.

I never thought they’d overturn the call because of the time between when the whistle blew and when the recovery happened.
What do you want Yurachek to do? The most he could do is refuse to let that crew ref our games.

I don't think coaches or ADs can mention or publicly call out the refs.
Petrino did a bout the Florida game and got reprimanded.
Yuracheck knows what is going on but I don't think he is allowed to criticize the refs.

What do I want Yurachek to do?
What would Arkansas players and fans appreciate seeing?
A press statement publicly condemning the SEC's ruling that decided the outcome of the game, and out-lining a response to be taken by Arkansas athletics showing the outcome as unacceptable.
If you don't think a statement and stance defining the outcome of the game as unacceptable would garner respect both within and beyond Arkansas' borders then you're not paying attention.
Look around the country and take a good look at societal fabric and how it's been stretched thin. A strong statement by an Arkansas in defiance of favoritism shown by an institution such as the SEC would have amazing support.
I don't think Yurachek has the courage to do it, nor does he have the support from the inept power brokers who have been steering Arkansas athletics for the past decade.

I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean - I am stating the obvious in that regard.
I didn't say I agreed with what's going on in today's media assault on moral standards, or the underlying efforts to further polarize people who otherwise would get along fine.
But again with focus on ignoring your attempt to misdirect the discussion - if you don't think average Arkansas fan would appreciate a stronger stance from leadership in the athletic department... and get support from many outside the state... then it's either naivety or willful ignorance.

I think that would be seen as a severe overreaction to a blown call.
I think if your going to go scorched earth on the sec office you do it over the blatant protection of the traditional powers with the scheduling of cross division games.

Blown calls happen all the time.
Blown calls that have extended review, and are ultimately responsible for determining outcome irregardless of how everything else transpired previously...
are something else.
If there's to be a scorched earth response it's not over a single game-altering decision. It's rather a response to a culmination of events capped off by the most blatant and public display of bias to date.

We’re an after thought in the SEC. got replaced by A&M.
Never agreed with this but we should 100% go to the Big12. We’d be #3 over there and could easily
Give OU a battle for recruiting etc.

We don't need to go anywhere.
We just need to hold leadership accountable, and address blatant inequities by every means possible.

This.
I believe it's almost better that we lost because it creates a better learning environment, while they know we should've won.

You think that’s going to happen?

Except when the institution thinks it's better for the collective that you lose, and knows you won't raise much of an issue because you've proven you accept your role.

Yes, because it looks pathetic to cry about it. We had other ways to win.
In private I would have called Sankey and torn him a new a-hole. Then called the head of officiating and done the same.
It sucks the worst for Pittman. The man has stipulations to win in his contract. If I'm hunter I count that as a win contractually. He was literally robbed last night.

Doing nothing and saying next to nothing looks pathetic.
Agreed Pittman should have that as a W.
Yurachek comes out of this weekend looking weak, and a number of Arkansas fans look conditioned to cuck status.
