He is a recruiting machine. He could counter the recruiting strengths of our rivals. He is a proven head coach. He develops outstanding offensive lines (Look at Auburn history, when we have great offensive lines we win).He is familiar with the area. I think that he would jump at the chance to get back into the southeast. Coached and worked for some really good coaches. Butch Davis, Schiano, Saban.

Take a look at what he is doing at Oregon. 9-4 in his first year and 12-2 in the second with a Rose Bowl win. One of his lineman won the Outland Trophy last year and the Offensive line was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award for best overall group in the country.

No brainer. Huge improvement over what we have. Malzahn can go to the Sun Belt where he belongs.

If someone else doesn't hire him first, Cristobal will be on the short list to replace Saban.

Wait and see.

If you are referring to Joe Morehead, he is just as good or better than Chad Morris.

I can't wait until we hire Kiffin.

Bruce Pearl will play a role in getting him here. They got along famously while they were both at UT.

I am sure Pearl would love to have another fun guy on campus that loves hot blondes and winning. I bet hanging out with Gus is terrible...

I am not opposed to MC at all. I remember watching the pressers last year leading up to Oregon, and the man just seems like a football coach. None of that beta speak like you get from Gus. I think he would be a great fit.

Either way...regardless who we hire....it is going to be a crapshoot but I think anyone could win 8 games a year.

Take a look at his offensive lines at Alabama. Proof is in the pudding as far as his results at Alabama and Oregon. He has also been at Oregon for three years, 2 as head coach.

Yep. Which is what is so perplexing when it comes to the chicken shite fans who are scared to let mediocre Gus go.

ETA IF he ever gets another job, there will be a scandal in three or four years. He will start having health issues and "retire".........again.

Cool. He he would bring a title and leave a stacked roster.

Meanwhile when Gus leaves there will be exactly zero NFL players on the offensive side of the ball when Seth and Swartz leave.

No doubt about it. Just be ready There is a deep internet rumor he’d like the job.

If we can bring his S&C guy with the mustache with him that will be preferable.

With that said, Gus isn’t going anywhere. If he is, Fleck is on the top of my list. His guys are well coached.

big deal. he can coach but he is pure trash. A lot of the Cam shite that was spewed came from him.

ETA he threw Cam under the bus because UF boosters were hammering him about their QB being shite.....so he leaked all kinds of crap about Cam.

I don’t need a moral compass for a coach. I need someone that will bring rings. If “pure trash” brings me the rings, I will still raise my children right, go to work, and go to church and enjoy watching football on Saturdays again.
