I think he can have success but I dont think a team can be elite being one dimensional.

We're going to see.

While KJ Costello's numbers were insane in Week 1 - especially considering the talent LSU has on that side of the ball - it was against a Bo Pelini defense.

Leach's offense is going to have ups and downs. There were times it didn't look especially good last week. State had to punt the ball, what, three times in the first half?

But just because Leach almost exclusively throws the ball doesn't mean it's "one dimensional." It's the complete opposite of one dimensional. It's designed to take what the defense gives. One week will be like LSU where the defense allows for vertical shots and big plays. The next week will be dinks and dunks.

What is one dimensional? To Leech its about balance of space more so than balance of run pass.

If you run it ten times up the middle and throw it ten tims to the same WR .. that ain't balance

Balance is make a defense defend the full 160ft width of a field and as deep as he can depending on QB protection.

He does it by spreading you out and spreading the ball around. He hopes to get his best players the ball in space to allow them to make plays.

This idea that you have to run it so many times a game and pass it so many times a game to get balance is not his way of looking at things. You know what? I think he may be right. He just needs the players to do it with.

Can Mississippi State provide him with enough talent to do it week in and week out? I don't know, we shall see.
