Im done with work for this week. frick, I am done with this damn week and this damn year. 2020 can go to hell. Had the funeral for my wife's father late yesterday. A man that I spent tons of time with over the 37 years I have known my wife. We have fished, been hunting and built shite together. He was a great man and a even better friend.

He has had a rough go of it over the past few years. Had to move him a week ago from a assisted care unit to a nursing home. Wasnt even there a week and the virus got him. He was not in great shape and all in all, it probably did him a favor. Hard to see him like that.

So I will raise a glass to him tonight and celebrate his 80 years on this planet. Thanks for all you taught me Mick and RIP....

Every time you remember them, you’re together for that moment. It’s never truly goodbye.

Sounds like he had a hell of a run. Picked up a bottle of Alto today (come at me Lanier) and will drink one for him.

Hard worker and served our country. Had a big ceramic Bald Eagle in his living room that has been there since the first day I walked in there to take his daughter out on a date back in 10th grade of high school.

He would have approved of his container until we can send him off in the sea. They say that covid got him but he was just ready to go.

My sympathies and condolences on not getting to have the type of funeral he wish he had ... (thanks covid)... however there's certainly something to be said about going out with dignity and before the very bitter end. Wish my folks had been so fortunate.

RIP Mick

Sorry for your loss but it's nice that you were able to enjoy time and friendship with your Father in-law. Prayers for your wife as well.

I’m doing some Tito’s and tonic water tonight with a squeeze of lime.

Simple and enjoyable.

This is my favorite beer drinking season. I’m pretty much on Oktoberfests until it snows

I keep good bourbon on hand but it’s tough for me to get into before it’s cold

It snowed here a few weeks ago and I cracked open my Blanton’s from last fall. I’m a big Makers 46 guy and also Evan Williams single barrel for more regular drinking

I have not tried Blantons yet. I tried to buy a bottle at the local store here and they wanted $150 fir it so I passed. I have been sipping Makers 46 and Woodford in the mean time

Tonight is vodka tonic.

Budweisers for Mick and watching high school games on NFHS network tonight. ($11/month)

Feels like fricking Christmas Eve as a child waiting on kickoff tomorrow at 11.

Last year was our first year being able to afford season tickets and we had a blast. Now this season has been shot to shite as far as attending games, tailgating, etc. Kinda sucks...

Anyways. Sorry for your loss, Lanier. Ya douchebag...
