The kids in white are the private school with the LSU and Bama commits, and 28 act average, and graduating class of about 100

The kids in pink and black are a massive school basically build on the Eastern Shore or suburb of Mobile, 400 or so a class with obligatory apt complex next door for the transfers. Also a decent school.

Both recruit, both have been super successful last decade, Saints won 4 or 5 of last 12 state titles, Spanish Fort close to that.

Everyone always talks about St Paul’s recruits and I get that, but it’s really all those little undersized kids that are tough as nails for no apparent reason. The same reason UMS Wright is so good.

Mobile area kids are just salty. The smaller they are the meaner they are. Lol

Congrats to Bestor, (who still looks like he is 12 to me), Will, Trey, Miles, your son (not naming here for your privacy ) and everyone else on great win they can tell their kids about.
Lots of work to do but once they forgot about being on ESPN and calmed down they played great “Saints” ball. Coach Mask will get them ready.

Fun game to watch. Spanish Fort Sophomore QB is a baller.

See you at the “battle of old shell road” which will be epic now that we are both 5A.

Geaux Saints.

The kid I was talking about was a blue chip player and I think a bama committ, I know he had an offer. He was convicted of aggravated rape and given 20 years or more. I can’t think of his name, he was at SF because he was booted elsewhere.

It was Deon Johnson. That was 2012.

There was another Spanish Fort player accused of assault in 2017. Don’t know what happened with that case.

McGill vs Murphy is both those schools biggest rival. McGill/Ums have not played in a decade.

Did you see the part of my post that says, "when I was in high school"? That was the mid 80s btw.

I graduated from McT in 1982. Murphy was by far our biggest rival. I know McT and Ums use to play yearly for a long time. The battle for the Cannon is still a big deal. The police now divert traffic for 10-15 minutes so the winner of the McT / Murphy game can paint the cannon.

In case you were wondering the Saints did in fact beat UMS 34–32 in one of the greatest high school games of the year in bama. Unfortunately, it didn’t end their 40 whatever game win streak, as they lost to Mobile Christian weeks earlier.

Thank you TUTHill for not revealing your true feelings. That is some excellent restraint on your part.
