Tomorrow night a great high school rivalry will be on ESPN. The great and honorable St Paul’s Saints of Mobile, will play the new comer, cheating bastards, aka Spanish Fort Toros with their gay pink school.
Many future SEC players will be involved.
It’s good guys vs evil bastards.
Private vs Public
Eastern Shore vs Spring Hill.
The two schools really don’t like each other in football.
Jacob Coker, AJ McCarron and Mark Barron are among the Bama players that played at St Paul’s. They had 5 bama commitments from one class alone.
LSU and Auburn have also had plenty of St Paul’s former players including guys like Chevis Jackson, and Tre Williams. They have won 5 state titles over last decade or so in football and almost 200 state titles overall.
Spanish Fort has won some things and had some good players, some may have not ended up in prison.
St Paul’s wins one for the good guys, and it really is so humid out there you break a sweat walking to your car

You sure know your demographics

Spanish Fort can do their own damn PR, and explain to everyone why none of their top players are actually from Spanish Fort.
They had a kid years ago, bama commit arrested for forceable rape, bama drops him, they bond him out to play us in play against us In playoff game. He is doing 20 years in prison now.
They are the want to be Hoover of South Mississippi.

There are much bigger rivalries in the Mobile area. This one barely blips the radar and no one here knows why ESPN keeps showing this game. Much better rivalries are on both sides of the Bay and across the Bay. Really kind of stupid for this one to be on tv. Heck, last week's Fairhope vs Spanish Fort game was much bigger and Fairhope has an uber qb prospect who had an amazing game.
BTW, white privileged with black payers St Paul's has players from all over Mobile and Baldwin counties because they are private. So, the pot calling the kettle black is all up in your face.

I've got one playing in this one. Number 34 for St. Paul's, playing middle linebacker. He's small but tough!
All SEC folks should be watching St. Paul's running back. Very powerful runner, and running behind an incredible offensive line. Should be a good game!

Very cool! I've got 4-5 friends who graduated from St.Paul's, but that was almost 30 years ago.
frick I feel old!

If it was 30 years ago, you are old, at least according to my kids.
It is pretty hard to believe they are playing on national TV. Hopefully, these two teams will make a great example of what good southern high school football looks like.

Spanish Fort is going to kick their arse.

Sounds like you take your high school marching band glory days almost as seriously as BowlJackson does.

Probably gonna show my age here but...
Vigor-Murphy
Vigor-Theodore
Mary G. Montgomery-Baker
UMS-McGill-Toolen
Theodore-Murphy
Vigor-Blount, in Prichard stadium
Blount-Williamson
Blount-Leflore, in Prichard stadium
were all big time rivalries when I was in high school.

I graduated from St. Paul’s back in the early 90’s. It’s surreal to see them on ESPN. We were 3A when I was there. Graduated with maybe 65 people in my class.

At least you didn’t mention Shaw or Alba.

Back in my day we had a 155 lbs. center and only one guy over 200 lbs. on OL. Amazing how gigantic the kids are today.

I was a legendary player (at least in my mind) at a bigger school in Mississippi.
Each team is feeling each other out so far, St Paul’s passing game is 0-2 with a sack.
Grayson punts St Paul’s out of trouble

Spanish Fort gets typically 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty

Saints waste an opportunity to score

Lol. My wife(no pics) graduated from Alba. You can't really call the Alba-Grand Bay game a rivalry
