"Why so Lame"

Old tea-bagging brothers? However, if you like I would oblige you with a more up-to-date, not so german, much more STYLISH pic of a weak attempted SMACK-DOWN. The first person that comes to mind is a "Seth Rogan" type you could have used, but it's too late for you now.

At this time, as requested by the Lsupimp, I choose not to display one on the SEC Rant board. However, I do reserve the right to a one-time stylish-pictorial smack-down on this matter. Clamdip shite, say "Please, Master-Gatekeeper of the Top 25 smack-downs. . . ."

Then, maybe I'll help you with your next lame attempt, if you can show me your AARP card.

BOO-SHOO, clamdip -- go back to yo' DADDY.

In ALL sincerity,

ThePalace

PS to all:

End of story: Football is here.

C'mon, he won the Big 10 his last year there. When was the last time that happened. Could it possibly be that LSU was just a MUCH bigger opportunity?

Michigan State did not win the Big 10 in Saban's tenure. (The last Big 10 co-championship for Michigan State was in 1990. Wisconsin was the 1999 champ). I do think that Saban saw an opportunity at LSU that he didn't have at Michigan State because Michigan is in such a dominant position. LSU, however, was virtually ideally situated for him. I don't fault him for leaving Michigan State (How many coaches wouldn't take the LSU job if offered over Michigan State?) But yes, the position of Michigan v. Michigan State was a major factor in his decision, and LSU was a major opportunity.

For right now all the discussion is speculation, but if UW fires Willingham this year or next, look for the Saban speculation to explode. It will build to a crescendo as Willingham's situation become more and more untenable and then it is all that we will hear until the UW job is filled. And it will drive the Bama fans absolutely crazy. It was bad enough in Baton Rouge. It will be much worse in Alabama.

I bet The Forbes cover story has made quite an impact on the super-rich UW alumni.

It probably stirred their competitive juices quite a bit, as they go through Willingham's last year.

They are thinking "why can't we get this guy"? And as bama unravels this year.....hmmm......

Hopefully we haven't burned all our bridges with Mike Shula. Maybe we could get him to come back.

As far as I know I was the first to post anything on the internet about Saban to UW.

The question is, WHERE did Tuberville get this info? Did it migrate from here, or did he get it from an independent source ?

Jimmy Sexton ?

I am going to try to get more info this week from UW boosters.

Tubberville and Dinky have the same agent. Tubby is really just making a dig to get under the skin of Bama folk. That being said, shorty's comments about "retiring" are interesting. He could pull a Brett Favre and "retire" but then be talked into coming back. That would restore some of his credibility and allow him to leave that hell hole gracefully. Washington would be a MUCH better fit for him than Bama. For that matter, so would Penn State.

Saban will leave Bama after Bama plays in the Music City Bowl. He wants to make this move with some class this time.

Okay I had to call my uncle he is a big UW fan and alum. He has not heard anything on this at all in Seattle. He said he knows the boosters are big on getting rid of Willingham. So much one guy offered the UW 100,000 dollars last year if they would have fired him last year. He is going to keep an ear out but as of right now this is news to him.

The one thing I know for certain. If jobs come open then Saban's name will be mentioned. I only hope that the Bama faithful get to experience that aspect of what we endured with him.
