They are all basically crying for football to be cancelled.

I think they know it’s going to be played and they have to run this narrative so that they can say how terrible the SEC/South is when it happens for leading the way.

Just yesterday they were talking about mail in votes all day...

ESPN is trying to pull votes for Biden and disguising it as sports media.

ESPN wants the season to happen. They are going to get destroyed by advertising losses if the season doesn't happen. Use your brain brah.

Then why is everyone crying for them to cancel the season? Watch it yourself.

So why in your head do you think a tv company thats programming is based only off of sports would want said sports cancelled? This is the dumbest narrative being floated.

So then why are they allowing nearly all of their employees to say it should be cancelled?

You can ignore the OP and listen to their talking heads for yourself.

They are openly campaigning for the season to be cancelled.

You can argue the why, but there is actual video evidence of them doing exactly what he stated.

Max Kellerman, Finebaum, and Stephen this morning were basically demanding there be no college football.

They basically made it sound as irresponsible as DUI.

I've watched it my dude. They want it to happen. They are doing the typical have one person say (A) while the other person argues (B). But beyond that they absolutely want it to happen. If they didn't they wouldn't be interviewing players who want to play. The amount of advertising $$$ they will lose if the season is canceled will be catastrophic for them. Don't mix up their click bait debate style format with what corporate really wants to happen. Those are two different things.

Because maybe they actually believe that it should? I want to see football very badly, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the right thing to do.

Exactly, I’m literally watching it right now.

ESPN is owned by Disney and will never hurt for money again. They have the NBA bubble and MLB playing right now, and the NFL will start up soon. They don’t care about college football as much as they care about their agenda.

ESPN revenue is at an all time low. They want the season as much as any of us.

People are not watching all these woke shows and networks. Believe me, Disney needs $$$, they want CFB and NFL.

Kirk was on earlier. He obviously wants them to play but seemed resigned to the fact that the Big 10 was not going to do it.

So Kirk was not "crying for football to be cancelled". He was just saying what the situation appears to currently be. Interesting.....

I just don’t understand why there was no pushback on the NBA bubble, yet the college players shouldn’t be playing. They could literally have their own bubble on campus by putting them all in the same dorms and not allowing them to go to class and doing online only. They only leave the building to eat and practice busses pick them up and drop them off so they never contact anyone else but teammates.
