Tuition is due today. (August 10)

Once everyone is paid up, I'm expecting the University to announce that all classes this Fall will be online only soon.

Am I just being too cynical, or am I going to be correct?

Wouldn't surprise me. Should have announced that it will be online only a while back, but the university will do damn near anything for a buck.

They'll have classes until the first COVID case is confirmed. Then - they'll send folks home. Gotta show you at least tried!

I don't see this coming. There was a ton of effort, time, and money put into getting classrooms, auditoriums, and scheduling ready for this term. I would be surprised if everything is online.

Not everything will be online. One of my friends daughters goes to Auburn and all of her classes but one is online. So bama will probably follow suit but I don't think it will be 100% online, but damn near it

Couldn't they just withdraw from all the classes if they wanted to? You have a certain period of time to drop a class, right?

No, the cynical part would have been to add in that they will cap off the bait&switch with exorbitant tech fees added in for each online course.
