I have been following these stupid mask guidelines for months but if college football is cancelled I am not wearing them anymore. #NoFootballNoMask

The masks help prevent spreading covid from the wearer. It does little to nothing to keep the wearer from getting infected (or so I have heard/read)

I’ve been working for months, every single day, without wearing a mask, and not enforcing mask mandates. Haven’t got sick once and none of our customers have got sick

You do realize that this COVID19 situation isn't going away.... right? If it is, then I missed the flyer for the COVID19 vaccine. Those that created this virus got exactly what they wanted.

If one is ornery enough to not wear one as some sort of defiance, the chances they are not doing much to protect themselves in general is likely higher.

The virus is very real. The severity of it is very over-stated.
Politicized or not, it's still easy to contract the virus and spread it to others. It doesn't change the fact that 99% of those who get it will be fine. If we all just wear a fricking mask to prevent the positive numbers then the positives would decrease dramatically and everyone would quit freaking out over it.

First of all, the ignorance in this question is astounding.
Secondly, the quote that YOU quoted has nothing to do with wearing a mask to eradicate the virus. What he was saying was that if everyone had worn a mask like the CDC and the president we all love so dearly says to do, the number of positive cases would be lower and we wouldn't even be discussing college football being cancelled.
Some of y'all mouth breathers need to learn how to properly formulate an argument.

The overall number of cases would have been the exact same as if they hadn’t worn a mask, just spread out over a longer time, hence it cutting into football season.
Had we not done anything we would be looking like New York State right now in terms of case count, but if we wouldn’t have shipped covid patients back to nursing homes we’d be at the exact same rate of deaths as we currently are.
Flattening the curve means the same number of people will get Th e virus, just over a much longer period of time. That you can’t grasp this let’s me know who the actual mouth breather is
