Your daughter has an XRay and it shows scarring on the daughter's lungs.

The daughter feels fine, but the doctor explains that the scarring could effect her ability to fight off a future flu, pneumonia, or get worse after a 2nd fender bender.

Your analogy tries to equate a novel virus to something that happens 6,000,000 times per year for the last 40 years (fender bender) You didn't do a good job with that example. Maybe you want to try again.

WTF are you on about?

A 15 mph bump is going to cause scaring on the lungs? WTF??

You people are imbeciles, I swear.

The point was clearly that the lack of information sent the wife into an ignorance-fueled panic and anxiety, ultimately for no reason, and that it's stupid and irresponsible of the husband to have presented the scenario to her like that.
