If Auburn's D last year could keep LSUs offense in check in Death Valley, so could 2011 Bama's. Sorry.

This is a dumb take, its a good thing for Bammers that Saban is much smarter than the majority of his fanbase.

The entire reason Saban changed his offensive philosophy was he knew that his defense couldn't shut down the new RPO and spread based passing attacks, he knew 9-6 games would be a thing of the past against other elite teams.

Does 2011 Alabama score more than 6 or even 21 against 2019 LSU's defense? Likely. It wouldn't have been enough though.

Look at the times Saban has been upset by inferior teams when he's had great defenses, usually its been a spread passing attack with good quarterback play. Why? Because that can beat Saban's "old" style of defense.

An elite 2011 defense isn't containing an elite team 2019 offense, same goes for 2011 LSU vs 2019 Alabama with Tua. Not happening.

500 yards of offense is 'in check' ???? What are you smoking?
