Tubbs cutting on the Big Ten again

He just said he wants to schedule a Big Ten OC game, but he can't get any off them to come down to play. Then he went on to say, that they play each other and have a chance at the NC game, but that is about as far as they make it each year (getting to the game). ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconrotflmao.gif)

I used to pull for Auburn in most all of their games.
Tubbs is slowly(err, rather quickly I guess) turning me off of Auburn.

Meh, I wouldn't take it to seriously. Tubberville is just having a little fun.
Plus, I want your support

He didn't want Les having all the fun talking smack. Besides, he figures Les called out another weak conference last year, and see where it got him.

I don't think he is. This is the second time he went out of his way to take a shot at the Big 10 when he didn't have to. Auburn used to be one of my favorite SEC teams, and now, I'm really, really starting to hate them.
You can't control the Big 10, so you know what Tommy? Worry about your own fricking schedule. I really hope you go winless in the SEC, just so then maybe, you'll care about what you have to deal with, instead of other teams and their schedules.

Well he went on to say that Jo Pa used to be pretty good about coming south to play but apparently Penn State has turned down AU also. Tubbs is a straight shooter. He is going to call it like he sees it. A couple of years ago, he went off on ESPN. Maybe not the smartest thing to do, but it was how he saw it. Same thing with the playoff. Tubbs tells the truth. I seriously doubt he would say he couldn't get a Big Ten team to come to Auburn for a home and home if it wasn't true. It sounded like AU has been trying and getting told no and Tubbs is a bit tired of it.

Here you go. Granted Tubbs was proven wrong with LSU and UF making it the last two years, but Tubs losing his cool and going off helped their cause. I gaurantee it. I will post Tubs address so all the LSU and Gator fans can send him a thank you note.
"I've about had it with this playoff deal," Tuberville said after a lengthy, emotional argument for a playoff. "We all understand in our conference how tough it is. In our conference, that's about the only chance we'd have to make it."
The SEC boasts five teams in the Top 13 of the AP poll: Auburn (No. 2), Florida (No. 5), LSU (No. 9), Georgia (No. 10) and Tennessee (No. 13).
While Auburn, Florida and Georgia are all undefeated, Florida plays LSU this week and Auburn the week after. And Georgia plays Tennessee this week.
Two years ago, Auburn finished 13-0, but did not appear in the national championship game.
"There is no reason on this earth why we can't have the best four and then play one more," Tuberville said. "That's the legitimate thing to do. We added a BCS game -- for what in the world? -- I understand we're avoiding lawsuits and making money. But let's take care of the players."
Tuberville said excuses are invalid.
"The problem we have is you have 120 universities that are I-A and probably 25 would say they have a legitimate chance each year," he said. "And you have presidents that for some reason look at it more as for the money than having a national championship on the field. They keep coming up with lame excuses about academics. Football players miss fewer classes than anybody."
Tuberville said he hopes the tenure of SEC commissioner Mike Slive as the current head of the BCS will help aid a playoff structure, but he said he doubts it will happen in his lifetime. Simply put, he said the time has come for an eight-team playoff structure.
"Presidents take the money and go spend it, but they don't worry about the business of making it better," Tuberville said. "They keep coming up with excuses, yet we're playing [the national championship game] Jan. 8. It's hypocritical."
Former Florida coach Steve Spurrier, long a playoff proponent, said he can't worry about it as much now that he's at South Carolina. But, he acknowledged, "The people that run college football don't listen to the coaches anyway."
And this...
It's done. The national media, led by ESPN, wants to see Vince Young versus Matt Leinart in the championship game. It's going to be those two teams unless Texas or USC get upset. Last year, they wanted to see the two Heisman Trophy quarterbacks, Jason White and Leinart. After six or seven games, we were out of it
ESPN has gotten so much power lately, it's kinda scary. Most of their analysts are coaches who haven't won any games. Lou Holtz gets on there and talks about what a team has to do to win that game and the guy couldn't beat anybody in our conference.

He was definitely proven right with the AU 2004 season......Tubbs can say anything he wants about the Big 10, and Miles can say anything he wants about the Pac 10....point is, it's true......nobody goes through a "meat grinder" of a schedule more than the SEC teams.....period.......and the national media bitches about SEC OOC scheduling??

Ohio State is not afraid to schedule a home and home with Auburn. Maybe Auburn's tried to schedule a home and home with a few Big 10 teams, but not all.
If they did try OSU, though, I could see the Bucks turning them down. It's not cause we're afraid, though. We're set through 2019.
2008-09: USC
2010-11: Miami
2012-13: Cal
2014-15: Va Tech
2016-17: Oklahoma
2018-19: Tennessee

You know if there were two coaches I was going to put together on a team to kick butt and drive opponents nuts, it'd be Les and Tubby. They'd be a daily quote machine and Saban's worst nightmare (although individually they aleady are). ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

A couple of years ago Auburn was talking to Michigan about a home & home series, and Michigan wanted no part of it….
That being said…..I have a question….(other than Michigan playing Vandy a few years ago…which does not really count)….when is the last time Michigan or Ohio State played a SEC team during the regular season?
