Recruited Ben Simmons to LSU. Born in Australia and went to school in Baton Rouge.

I am not saying Australia is the great untapped frontier of basketball... but they do turn out good talent almost no one else is looking for. Add to that his connections to the West Coast and I think Patrick is a solid addition to our coaching staff.

Clearly it must be a home run hire because I’ve seen multiple college basketball pundits racing about it in the past 24 hours. Definitely not used to us getting those kind of mentions.
