Foremost, I expect that once Arch commits, that's it. I'd be shocked if he were to change his mind, de-commit, and so forth. His family comes across as much more grounded than that.
That said, I also don't expect him to wait until National Signing Day to provide his commitment. Do any of you remember when Cooper, Peyton, and Eli committed? It's been so long ago, I can't quite remember.
ETA: I also think Tennessee and Duke being listed in the mix are just to appease and show respect to Peyton and Coach Cutcliffe. However, I do think there is some teeth in Georgia being listed. They are behind Ole Miss and LSU, but I wouldn't write them off.

Agreed on the first point. Manning family will make sure that once the kid commits, that's it.
I'm really interested in a few things with him:
- is he going to continue to get better and live up to the hype?
- what it really comes down to in terms of committing. I'm assuming his dad is an ole miss fan? I'm not a recruiting expert, but from what I seen, this seems to be a Ole Miss, LSU battle with UGA/UT/Duke in the next tier.

I love the fact the kid has no social media and his family doesn't permit him to do interviews.
He's 15 for Pete's sake. Let him be a kid for a bit before he has to be a grownup.
I hope UGA is in it for him; I know we've made contact with the family to express interest. I hope he'll visit Athens before he chooses where to play. Do I hold out hope that he comes to Athens? Not really.
I want to say watching the Manning documentary on ESPN that Peyton announced UT on Signing Day in February. I don't think he committed early; I don't recall that being prevalent in his day.

Uh, I'm assuming you're too young to remember Eli's entry into the NFL?

Randy Livingston - the basketball coach at Newman - said Arch is always in LSU gear fwiw.
I would bet it comes down to LSU vs Ole Miss.
Tennessee has been mediocre his whole life.
They’re not gonna want to put him in a bad situation at Duke.
Maybe a wild card enters the picture like Ohio State or Georgia. Maybe even Bama but my money is on LSU or Ole Miss.
All the things I’m hearing in Nola is that the family truly isn’t going to push him either way. They want him to take his time and make the decision on his own, like Peyton.

From the people that are close and have known them for a while, they have said, as of today, that it's OM then LSU.
I'll throw a wild card out there: Texas.

Will LSU still be in play when Brennan and his successor both look like shite now that Brady is gone?

It’s ole miss going away and no manning will ever attend LSU.

His family ain't gonna want him to ride the bench. He should sign with Tulane, its closer to home, he'd start from day one, and get a bronze statue outside stadium after resurrecting its program. Only problem with Green Wave is they won't come any closer to sniffing a playoff spot than Cincinnati did in '20. But, he'd put up Heisman numbers.
