Bama fans, how confident are you with the Mac attack?

Honestly, I’m interested to see if Bama goes back to the ground and pound style that got them where they are today. I hope they don’t, because it leaves room for other west schools to beat them throwing the ball around like that, but if they are dominant on the ground and rule the ToP then we may all be screwed this season.

The offense might depend on how good is the defense. If your defense can't consistently stop the other team from moving the ball and scoring a lot of points then a ball control run first offense probably won't win it all these days.

eta: Confident in Jones but if Bryce Young is good as advertised, then I won't be surprised if he's the starter by year's end

He tossed 14 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 4 starts. The offense really didn't miss a beat when he was in there, so very confident

It can’t help Mac that they just lost their best WR to Mississippi State via grad transfer. They are going to miss Tyrell Shavers.

I think we'll be more balanced, but it won't be 2009 or anything.

Mac showed some promising signs, but it's still a little bit of an unknown. He proved down the stretch that at the very least he's a very serviceable option.

I feel good about him. Good offensive line, run running attack. I think Mac will do good.

With probably the best Oline in the country and a stable of running backs as good as you'll find, Saban would be a fool not to take a run first approach....and we all KNOW that Coach Saban ain't no fool!

Not very, Mac couldn't even beat a bad Auburn team, he threw more TDs for Auburn in that game than Nix did. I think Bryce Young will be the QB by the 3rd or 4th game and I am very confident in Bryce Young.
