Solus, now you are devolving into skepticism. Utter epistemological chaos is not a place you would want to go.
Some statistics are very poor, and most all can be misused, but that does not make all statistics worthless. There are absolute standards of truth and statistics, study and research can help us to get to it or to confirm what we already know.

That's kinda the point. Anyone who isn't reliably self-motivated to do what's right for the right reasons isn't suitable to be a member or leader of a law enforcement agency.

In the workforce, we're taught all about being politically correct and then companies spend a ton of money explaining everything you wanted to know about sexual harassment but were afraid to ask. It's going to take a whole lot of something else to be that self-motivated in these areas of putting a value on life. But I hear yeah.

Are you asking where he got the crime stats? If so, check the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report database. State and local LE agencies that get federal funds are supposed to report their data tot the FBI. In Alabama ALEA’s Crime in Alabama reports contain the info for our state.
I didn’t check them all but his numbers look about right. His murder number is right for sure. That’s the angle that will go undiscussed but IMO is the root cause of the whole problem.
There’s an even grimmer angle if you look at the CDC Causes of death data. For black men 15-34, homicide is not only the leading cause of death, it kills more than the rest of the top 10 combined. There are years when it is the cause of more deaths than ALL other causes combined. Cross reference that with the FBI data and you will also see that when a young black man is murdered 90-95% of the time the killer is also a young black man. It is completely factual to say that the greatest life threat to young black men are other young black men.
Fix that and you fix the other problems. It will be very hard. Us white folk are going to have to admit we have to do things like fund predominantly black schools better. Macon county will never be Mountain Brook, but if you want them to stay out of Holman you have to give them a chance. Macon county will never have the money so Mountain Brook is going to have to chip in more than they do now. Black folks are going to have to admit that those crime stats - particularly the murder one - are the biggest single reason fairly or not that when young black men show up Karen the soccer mom packs up her kids and moves away.
