Did Ole Miss fans really believe they weren’t cheating?

This has to be the biggest “I bet” moment in sports I can remember.
My dad and I looked at each other like “really?” when they signed that monster class.

We are all cheating. They probably were before that too. This just so happened to get caught.

Everybody does it. Ole Miss mistake was they went so far with it. They got outside there lane and it attracted too much attention.

Ole Miss made it obvious by pulling some really big fish in right off the bat.
Kinda like someone else we know... fingers crossed.

Saban did pretty much the same thing at LSU.

I remember Dinardo doing pretty well in recruiting, so I didn’t think it was as much of a jump as Freeze or Wade in their first couple of years...

Then I hope we all get busted.

Yes, they really believe that. It was all a conspiracy orchestrated by Dan Mullen and Leo Lewis according to their fans.

Yeah all these kids from California, Texas, Florida, etc. were just lured by the Tuscaloosa student athlete experience

They arent cheating "at sports".
They're cheating by NCAA rules but then the NCAA is a broken system so

My cousin went to ole miss during that monster class signing. I can’t tell you the shite talking that ensued on national signing day. I decided to send but one text. “You know they’re cheating right?” Which of course started a fire storm.

Do you really feel like Bama is not cheating?

Given the prevalence of cheating and the rare occurrence of NCAA enforcement, programs are forced to cheat just to stay competitive.

I mean, the "Tuscaloosa student athlete experience" is winning a national championship (or two if you're lucky).
That's much more believable than the Ole Misses and Mississippi States of the world.
In fact, that's why Ole Miss originally drew so much attention. You can cheat to get the best recruits in your league, and it doesn't look funny. Start pulling recruits out of your league that other schools have been working for years, and you're gonna get hit though.
Basketball is a completely different story. Pay kids to come from wherever - nothing will happen.

I know everyone bends rules, but at this point does Saban have to cheat? 5 titles at Bama and a bajillion draft picks. I’d ride the bench to play at Bama.
