His QB was DA GAWD but still converted RB Blake Sims.

Can we stop calling Blake Sims a running back who converted to QB when it was really the other way around? He was a 4 star dual threat QB recruit coming out of high school and threw passes for Alabama as a QB every year but his freshman year. (LSU recruited him as a QB, for instance) I know you’re not doing it necessarily, but the way he’s talked about on here is like he never threw the football until 2014, when in reality he played QB his entire life.

God forbid a true freshman didn’t light the world on fire. But the real question is what happened to Cooper his sophomore year with a senior starting, 2x national championship winning QB? Took him until the iron bowl to surpass 75 yards or 5 catches. Yeesh

Well, I guess that would still be better than a one-half wonder like TwhoA.

Let's see if JC sits out the critical play of his pro teams playoff push.

He’s gotta make a pro team first. Also fyi he probably won’t be drafted by a playoff team

That's a good point, though he was recruited by Kiffin at Tennessee as an all-purpose player, not a QB. We recruited him and basically said we'd give him a shot at QB and then moved him to RB, and then to DB and then back to QB. So, yea, he played QB in high school, but he was not looked at as a big time D1 QB prospect. He was looked at as an athlete who might could run an option spread at QB, but nobody thought he'd be a QB at Alabama (or with Kiffin at Tennessee). Almost everyone thought he'd either go to a spread program to play QB or go to Alabama or Tennessee to play WR or RB.

And it stuck because he was not groomed during his time at Alabama to really be a QB, which is why he was so raw as a passer when he did play. So it kind of played into the "he got moved to QB late" stuff.

Amari did what he did with Blake Sims as Quarterback. Chase got 300 yards in the year that his QB play was average

You're missing the point. No one wants to hear him talk at all....especially about shite he knows nothing about.
