Yale forward Jordan Bruner chooses Alabama as his transfer destination. Bruner averaged 11 points and nine rebounds for the Ivy League champs in 2019-2020. He also had nine double-doubles.

First-team all-Ivy selection could also choose to test his NBA draft options. Bruner stuffs the stat sheet, averaging 10.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists. The South Carolina native also showed an improved outside shot this season.

Huge get. Very good player. Probably a borderline All-SEC guy.

Surprised Tennessee never contacted him as they were the front-runner for him out of HS and it essentially was Bruner or Grant Williams for the last spot in that class and Williams pulled the trigger first.

About as badly needed and perfect a fit for what we do as you could ask for. Huge last 3-4 weeks for Oats.

I could definitely see this dude being a good player but to say borderline all SEC before he has played a game in a conference of this level is a little much. Average 10 and 9 in the Ivy League so good chance he is numbers drop some especially since he is older and already developed.

He’ll have a much larger role here. His numbers will probably increase a bit. Maybe something like 12/10/4 and 2 blocks

About as big of a get as is available in the grad transfer market. Maybe Alabama is a tourney team next season.

Asking for 10 rebounds from anyone is ambitious.

Not to diminish this pickup for Bama, but John Fulkerson is more athletic than Jordan Bruner.

Tennessee has Fulkerson and Pons. Bama can promise Bruner a big starring frontcourt role. Tennessee can't.

Fulkerson is good but Bruner is just flat out better.

Why not?

He’ll be playing the 5 for us and we don’t have a ton of quality rebounders besides Herb.
