Stabler was closing down The Pink Pony Pub in Gulf Shores every night in the 1970s. He has always been a drunk.

Man, I remember when this was first posted. Boy, we had a lively discussion about it. It brought all the talk of the upcoming election to a standstill, but I still think Reagan is going to beat Carter....
