I know..none of us expect it, or want that obviously.
But in terms of eligibility.....
Say someone like Jordan Davis for example, who is a Junior. If the season gets cancelled, and he's goes through his academic Junior year, would he be required to play his senior year? I'm asking because he wouldn't get that 3rd year of eligibility his Junior year. If i'm a student athlete who expects to be a first rounder , I would question that system.

My hope for a 2020 season was fading fast in the last days of February. I'm not as hopeful now as I was then.

You are asking a question about the nfl. Not ncaa.
The nfl rules are 3 years from high school. So he could leave for the nfl.
But the nfl can change their guidelines at any time. They can make it 1 year or 4 years. It is up to what their owners want (and can get through the players union)

This is the right answer.
On the same subject, the NCAA has already announced an additional year of eligibility for all Spring sport athletes and they would do the same for Fall should that happen.
Will be interesting how this effects most sports recruiting for Spring sports, if they dont have as many slots to fill because of 5th years staying on.

Big question is how prepared are guys who have basically been forced to take a year off from a team regimented conditioning program, let alone not having been able to hit anyone for a year. Unlike baseball where I think guys like Hancock and Wilcox are done at UGA, I think you see a number of NFL eligible guys return simply because they’re out of practice

IMO, there will likely be a one year waiving of scholarship limits for the seniors/grad transfers/etc.
