Looks like the daily case numbers finally decreased in the U.S. on 4-4-2020. This is from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus tracking website: Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Tracking

The CDC isn't open on weekends. Look back and you will find a dip each weekend. I was fooled the first time I saw new cases decline. Later I discovered the reason for the decline.

Here is the graph that fooled me into having hope of a turnaround.



It wasn't to be though. Cases jumped way up in the days after.

It is criminal how they have the axises set on that Hopkins graph.

The top of the Y axis shouldn't be at the top of the data, especially if the beginning of the x axis is a month before the first case was ever confirmed.

The layout of that chart was deliberately designed to frighten people. It's very unethical and Johns Hopkins knows better.
