Hearing today that Bret Bielema is emerging as a candidate for #Colorado coaching job. @RapSheet reports the #Giants assistant is interviewing with CU. Bielema had been interested in MSU job, too, which went to Colorado's Mel Tucker. He also talked to Boston College.

Maybe I am wrong here, but I think Colorado could be a great job.

He won’t be able to keep that BMI up that high at that altitude. He would likely go from morbidly obese to just obese within a season. Too much weight to carry around with so little oxygen.

Why? Colorado is a good school, good conference, near a large city and a great location. The right coach can make them relevant easier than at Nebraska.

Absolutely. Colorado could be a great school. The setting is beautiful, the town is great, weed is legal, big conference, outdoorsy town, weed is legal.

yes, I know its still not legal to the ncaa

I haven't seen Botch's name mentioned on any of their LONG lists of coaches wants.

IIRC Botch was on his way to sign a contract with Colorado when Hart hired his sorry arse for the UT job. I guess the Colorado bridge was burned down when that happened.

Bert was a great coach with Barry Alvarez micromanaging him.

He was a good coach with Sam Pittman building his lines.

Bert is terrible as his own man as a coach.

But the thought of Bert with the munchies keeps the most seasoned Golden Coral attendants up at night.

I'm a grad student here now. The place is gorgeous with a lot to do outdoors and the fans want to see good football and will support it. We went to a few games last Fall, the stadium is pretty cool, honestly, and there's a good tailgate scene on campus on game days.

It is a hypocritical academic bubble and there's not much diversity for being so 'progressive.' That's the only thing that players would look at and say ehhh. And the school definitely now has a SoCal type problem, as in if the team flounders at all, the students will be outdoors on Saturdays instead of in the seats, and the school doesn't fund athletics like they do academics, or even near the level of top tier conference schools.

But, if they could get more recruits to OV, they'd see a great place to spend 3-4 years, but that's been one of their problems, getting kids on campus.

Bert will have to trim up for sure, there's hardly any fatties here or in most of the state.

Colorado needs to start paying Compton bloods and crips again and using whorish white womenz... It seems that the formula.

There's not enough talent in Denver to make a difference. For Colorado to be good, they have to recruit out of state. They may have some advantages over Nebraska, but fan support and facilities aren't among them. They are also in a conference which is really struggling at the moment.

I thought Colorado would go after Eric Bieniemy.
