Why has he struggled in the NFL, at various coaching positions, if it is so easy to adapt?

Havent his offenses been in the top 10 basically half the time he's coached?

I wouldn't think so.............simply for the fact NFL teams would be lining up for his services if that was the case. From what I understand, he was unemployed last year.

ETA I understand he won't be calling plays. I just think it will be difficult gameplanning a passing game with an O he doesn't use.

Half with yardage, 6/16 times top ten in scoring:

quote:

Linehan has 13 years of coordinator experience at the NFL level. Along with the Cowboys, he also served in that capacity with the Minnesota Vikings (2002-04), Miami Dolphins (2005) and Detroit Lions (2009-13). He was head coach of the St. Louis Rams from 2006 through 2008.

In those 16 seasons, his offenses ranked inside the top 10 in yardage eight times and the top 10 of scoring on six occasions, per Football Reference.
