The moment SEC Network started, Mississippi State had a better TV deal than Notre Dame.

I don't disagree. Adding eastern Texas and Missouri to our greater southeastern region does a whole lot more for viewership than states like Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky.

I wonder what caused that explosion in revenue.

Any sources for numbers on how much money we picked up by adding you two? Obviously the league's revenue was trending sharply upward before y'all, and obviously adding y'all accelerated that trend. I've been curious about exactly how much.

Not Missouri, and I wish we could give it back if it kicked you and A&M out.

Well, Lsu could also leave the conference, so there's that.

SEC becoming the unquestioned premier conference, ESPN, and the SEC Network.

To be more precise, the exact timeframe that television (and Live sports TV money) exploded (2000-present) lined up perfectly with when the SEC was separating itself from the pack of other conferences on the field. It was the perfect storm.

To your underlying point, though, yes Mizzou and A&M sweetened an already big pot. The SEC Network and renegotiated ESPN contract was happening regardless of expansion, though. Certainly A&M and Mizzou made an-already enormous pile of $$ contracts even larger.

It had to be great COACHING

After all, if all those great SEC Coaches had Mtn West talent or Ivy League talent the exact same amount of Revenue would have been generated since so many SEC Fans have told me repeatedly that it's the name on the front of the jersey in combination with genius Coaching that's the real reason all that Revenue is generated, according to those SEC Fans the elite talent of the players has nothing to do with all that Revenue being generated

It's a function of great facilities, the name on the front of the jersey and of course genius Coaching, talented players has nothing to do with all that Revenue being generated

The above must be true because I've been told this many times
