Serious question not meant to illict knee jerk responses.

Does the Big Ten have an overall better spectrum of money generating sports than the SEC?

IMO...

Better sports in SEC: Football, baseball.
Better sports in B1G: Basketball, hockey, wrestling, soccer

Anything else I'm be missing on the men's or women's front?

I'll be honest about it, I love SEC football but regarding everyting else I still think Mizzou would be a better fit in the B1G. The basketball atmosphere and competition is eons better and more interesting, MU wrestling would be an outstanding fit, and I think a Missouri hockey team could be an immediate hit with all the home grown St. Louis talent.

If the XII implodes in a couple of years and they want Mizzou and Kansas as a package I'd be all in.

Wont be Mizzou and Kansas, it will be Mizzou and Colorado. Fox has done a hell of a job with their big 1o network. Flip Mizzou and Colorado, they gain enough media markets to justify grabbing OU and OSU which only bring the small OK City market.

Football makes more than all of those combined.

So overall money it SEC, and not very close. And because of the new TV deal, the SEC is too gain significantly more.

But the other thing is culture, which obviously we fit in with the B10.

Our Basketball games attendance would be much higher than it is now, even with the talent of lack thereof

The best thing Mizzou has done in the history of athletics is joining the SEC. To this day I still can't believe we actually did it.

That being said, I agree with you on the basketball aspect. SEC basketball, even when the league has been good in recent years, is just not intriguing. There's no real history or following outside of a handful of schools. The Big 10 is indeed a much more interesting basketball conference. I'd love for Mizzou to get a soccer team rather than hockey as well. We produce a ton of talent in soccer across the state.

Admittedly, we haven't really meshed with the SEC the way I'd hoped. I thought the transition would be a little smoother than it has been. The new SEZ Complex is nice (albeit a cheap version of what we should have done IMO), but I feel like on the whole, Mizzou hasn't really heeded Pinkel's warning about needing to go "all-in" if we're gonna do the SEC thing. I think that blame falls with both the fanbase and the school. Over the last 5 years or so, we've been completely unremarkable in all aspects.

you're doing it wrong

I like the B1G better. Course the schools are full of yankess, unlike the SEC where there are only 3-4 schools good enough to be full of yankees.
