We owe LSU a big "thank you," quite honestly. If they hadn't done what they did this year, this may have taken another season or so to happen and it might not have been someone like Monken, either.

I think what I love so much about this is how deliberate the changes are if you just follow the timeline of what has happened since Atlanta
- Pitt leaves
- Luke comes in and prefers a more lean and athletic line
- Fountain leaves creating a space. Hartley or Coley likely going to take on ST duties
- Fromm leaves
- Newman comes in as QB and brings a big arm and running ability
- McKitty comes in as a guy who can play both WR and TE, so he can stay on the field and not give away a play by subbing in and out
- Monken comes on bringing a spread concept that uses the run to set up explosive pass plays
All of this seems like a very deliberate move toward reinventing the offense to be more explosive and less predictable: exactly what LSU became
