I think the Scar fans will take an LSU loss to Clemson harder than actual LSU fans...and that’s saying a lot.

That’s what makes it so compelling IMO, the fact that as good as LSU is, it can happen. I don’t think it will, but it certainly can. If it does, it certainly won’t ruin me, as I am so incredibly proud of what this LSU team has done so far this year, and will still be very appreciative of that no matter what. Knowing this team though, if it did happen, it won’t be for lack of effort or determination, and so I have about as much confidence as I can going into this game. This is a special year, but an even more special group of players making up this team. They’re going to lay it all out on the field no matter what the score is at any point in the game.

No, I figured this team was going to be a year or two away from the playoff. I feel like we are playing with house money at this point. SEC Championship and Heisman is a pretty damn good year for the brand. Natty is the icing on the cake baby.

Eh its been a great season.
Will be looking forward to LSU baseball regardless of the outcome and hopefully the Saints are still alive at that point.

Last year we were 14-0 going in and walking around talking shite plus swinging a big dick at everyone.
Didn’t help a lick when they kicked off.

Woke up the next day with a hole in my heart.
You LSU Baws might want to be careful, it could happen to you.

It's going to be Oklahoma level bad. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Why? Was LSU favored to win the NC before the season started?

I get that the bar has been raised, but that's because we've far exceeded what anyone expected out of this team. I think most LSU fans were looking at a 10-2 or 11-1 season with the right circumstances, but to win in the fashion the team has was not foreseen by anyone except maybe Burrow and Brady.

I agree. It most certainly can, but I do take encouragement in the fact that this team doesn’t care about the hardware or press clippings as much as they have a very real chip on their shoulders and a hell of a lot to prove, and that comes from the top on down, from our backwater dummy Coach O that nobody took seriously, to Coach E and Brady, Aranda, Burrow, CEH (all 5’8” of him), the defense, and everyone else on this team who feel overlooked and ready to set the record straight, and we have a certain 2012 NC game I’m sure you’re well aware of we would like to avenge.

In short, there’s everything in the world to play lights out football in the National Championship, and no time for drinking our own koolaid.

The issue is like you said Bama was “swinging a big dick at everyone”. This LSU team is taking a business approach to get the job done and letting their talk reflected on the field.
