I've given Tae Crowder a bunch shite through his playing time at LB but he came on strong this year, especially the second half of the season where he was making solid open field tackles and taking better angles. He's a DGD in my book.

Same. I’ve always thought he played hard but was a shitty tackler. He improved massively this year and was arguably the most dependable player on that defense (which is saying something).

I’ve said it a hundred times, this was one of the most disciplined defenses I’ve ever seen. We had no “super star” and everyone played as a unit all the time. I was phenomenal to watch. With the amount of young talent we have, that got to see this group....if they drink it up, this could be the beginning of a defense dynasty.

They’ve set a towering standard for defenses moving forward. Everything they did was so technically sound and on cue. As guys like Dean and Nolan and Cine and Walker grow into superstar roles, it’s going to be nightmarish what thy are capable of

I see Travon and Tyrique bringing home some hardware before they leave. They are my two favorite young bucks.

Travon being as quick as he is is so crazy. He hawked Brwwer down on that bullshite late hit

He honestly reminds me of a more agile, more instinctive version of Trent Thompson

Would love to see what this secondary grows into with the addition of Ringo, Burns, and Kimber. They’re starting to develop an attitude and identity that hasn’t really been in that position group for a long time.

We have championship level defense no doubt.
Just tremendous pressure on the Charlie Brewer all night and almost completely shut down Baylor's running game.

This defense was absolutely amazing. Given the thought as to how cohesive and in-tune this D was, would having a "superstar" made it less such?

Absolutely not. Offense is where that kind of stuff can happen because of the feeling of necessity to get them the ball rather than just playing in natural rhythm.

On defense, a Roquan or Jarvis Jones or Baker never hurts, only helps.

Adam Anderson has truely impressed me, he is getting after the qb very well, but where he has really improved is his ability to drop back and get depth when asked to...I see his reps going up next year.

Nolan Smith is gonna dominate next year.

Agree 100%. And I think that we will have a few superstars next year.

They played great all year. But last night, they seemed to be even more energetic and aggressive than normal. Maybe it was the competition, but it seemed we were more disruptive in the backfield than normal. It was fun to watch.

We blitzed more this season than 2017 and 2018 combined.

I think we trusted our backend more than both of those seasons.

That is the 1 knock by Bama fans on kirbys time there. They wanted more blitzing. We got to enjoy it this season and for the most part, it worked to perfection.
