Take it from a fanbase that knows real defense- signing 3 star linemen and LBs isn’t going to cut it against real teams. You guys still recruit offense-first. Your defense will never improve that way. You have to have some balance and you’ve got to step up in talent level.
Or just keep losing playoff games.

We have the most appearances of anyone not named Alabama or Clemson in the last twenty years and we're in a decent bowl most of the time so I can live with that.

Eh its not really doing you too much good seeing as how we've had two championships since the last time you got one and playing for a third.
Since we play in in the best division of the best conference, I think a floor of 9 wins is pretty good.
