How the tables have turned

I remember the feeling. Going absolutely bonkers in Davis Wade when Elijah Moore scored that TD. I was hammered and happy. I really let the section full of state fans I was in have it when Moore scored so when that kick missed literally 200 people turned around and started shitting on me. Worst feeling in a while. Now fast forward, we have Lane fricking Kiffin. The energy is back in the program. I don’t feel like a retard when I tell people who our head coach is anymore. Mississippi state on the other hand is going to a shitty bowl with a stagnant head coach that the majority of their fan base wants to fire. Not to mention their star linebacker knocking their QB out cold in practice
this board need to get going again. We have a lot to be hopeful for and things are finally looking bright after 3 solid years of sadness and despair. Wake up rebs

It's kind of odd how quiet everything around the program has been since Kiffin was hired. Even Kiffin himself hasn't been too vocal. The calm before the storm. I have a feeling NSD will be fun for us

NSD will be wild he’s going to land some guys that we’re not not possible during the Luke era. One of his classes at USC was cut by like 10 scholarships and he still ended up being in the top 5 classes because he had 11 5 stars. Dude is a crazy recruiter

I do think it’s pretty hilarious that a guy who was suspended for 8 games because of academic fraud knocked his teams starting quarterback out of their bowl game because he broke his face in a fight

I don't care about MSU at all. They don't matter to me one bit. What I am excited about is that we have a real coach finally. I'm so glad that the self defeating hire of Matt Luke and his popsicles are gone.

Gay is a good player, when he plays, that is. However, hard to argue that he's more of a cancer for their program than anything so far and we are probably better off that he didn't pick Ole Miss that day a few years ago.

I'm going to have a field day when both Thompson and Shrader leave and State ends up starting some walkon.

I doubt Shrader will leave

That wonderful piss saved our program

ESPN will actually make this one to paint the state in a bad light as usual.

I can't believe Napier turned them down. Cohen is even worse than Djork. I would hope we could steal a recruit or two from them.

Below is a quote from ED site. MSU posters are essentially dancing in the streets, saying Napier to MSU is a done deal and they're already projecting 8-10 wins next season. The poster (Bert) broke the news a day or two ago and has stuck to his guns. Indicates that Napier has never come out directly and declined the job and that the leaks stating he has are a smoke screen, so he can keep his team focused on their upcoming game.

Cohen has opened the check book, and all sides are in agreement now. This was agreed to last night. I cant believe how quiet this has been kept outside of my posts.
i now believe some things i posted in this thread were given to me on purpose to push MSU off the fence sitting position. As i said, i am not privy to MSU sources, everything i have is from the Louisiana side.
to recap: moorhead is gone, Napier is the next coach

So Napier decided to publicly lie about his interest?
Posted on 1/4/20 at 4:35 pm to rebelrouser
He hasnt commented publicly. Reporters gathered information from people he talked to. And he may have put out disinformation.
I buy it its his leverage and hold out to see what happens at baylor and get more salary boosts for he and his staff.

I also remember the guys that were 100% sure they had Kiffin on the Arky boards.
All the way up until we had our press conference announcing him.

Well, interesting to see the posts on Elite Dawgs after Napier publicly announced he's not a candidate for the MSU job. Half the posters believe they're screwed and have no shot at a decent coach and the other half simply won't believe Napier isn't coming. Pretty funny stuff.

I understand coaches aren't always truthful but that is pretty definitive. They should have kept Moorehead for one more year. They are going to get a has-been coach who will be forced to put together a has-been staff on short notice. Signing day is in one month.
