ESPN SEC Writer & Gator alum Ed Aschoff dead at age 34

Sad news for the SEC and college football in general. Aschoff was one of the better SEC writers IMO, and one of the best CFB writers at ESPN.
He apparently died on his 34th birthday, which I think was Christmas Eve.
His cause-of-death was reportedly a “brief illness.”

Terrible news. I read he had pneumonia, but there had to be more. 34 year old don't usually die of pneumonia, but I guess it's possible.

That’s terrible news. I’d like to know what hospital he was at because I would never want to be a patient there. This day and age 34 year olds should not be dying of pneumonia.

Very sad to hear this. Condolences to his family and all the Gator nation. Prayer sent for his family. We'll all miss him greatly.
