He’s pulling good recruits and building depth finally. Also, let’s be real. Next year could be a 6-6 year.

5-7 at best. Replace App State with ECU.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if he left. 1 recruit isn't changing that.

If he lets Bobo have complete control of the offense he can stay

His name is fricking Boom

Have you seen ECU play football this decade? They are much worse than App.

We only beat them 20-15 in Boom's first year.

Remember how garbage that first year team was?
Brandon McLlwain and David Williams were our starters.
SC weren’t gangbusters, either.

Please explain what that means? I have no idea! Maybe Carolina fans don't know either?

quote:Injuries the last two years have been the biggest problem. I am and have been a Muschamp fan as a person...as a coach I have second guessed a whole lot of his hires. The biggest issue with me was S&C and that has now been addressed. He has another year but anything short of a bowl invite will end his stay in Columbia....that of course is my opinion and I have been surprised and wrong many times.
Thoughts?

Why are we giving Champ credit for this?
Respect the true recruiting warriors

Boom is on the hotseat.
A lot of us want him to succeed.
I stay out of our forum because I just don't want to argue about why he had to stay .... but this class proves my point.
If he manages to finally start winning 9, 10, 11 ballgames a year then I can only imagine what he will do with recruiting.
Not going to complain about SEC home office scheduling.
I do despise what our own AD does with scheduling however and we need a change at AD. He's just not a big time AD.
Boom deserves this fifth hear and I hope he racks up enough wins to keep upping his recruiting game, bringing in big time DBs and DLinemen and QBs, et al, and eventually it all pays off.
I've seen this program make too many knee jerk reactions over the decades. It never pays off. Mike McGee proved how things could be done with a strong president and strong BoTs behind him .... and so did Hyman until he decided to let his wife get involved.
We've got a strong President again.
We've got a hard working HC and a solid staff and a solid OC and a much better S&C guy in place.
The BOTs need to get their act together ... and we need a strong AD and everything else would fall into place.

Why did you have to argue. Its easy:
"His buyout would be the largest of any coach all time by far."
Done. Simple.

Let's as k Arky and Mizzou how their coaching changes are working out.

Will never happen the way they're currently constituted. Requiring 1 member from each judicial district is insane. Not requiring these members to be graduates is utter negligence. And allowing the legislature to appoint all the BOT turns them into political appointments for people who often times have zero love for this university.

Very true. It's a major problem right now.
Nikki taterhead Haley intentionally threw a wrench in the gears and every time Henry tries to correct things the left screams politics.

Boom is going to leave the cupboard full for the next coach to come in and win immediately just like he did at Florida. Dude needs to be a DC, focus on the defense and recruiting, and make 1.5 million a year doing it.
